Marbled Papers

The history of marbling paper goes back to the twelfth century in Japan. Lokta paper with its characteristic shine is the perfect vehicle for this ancient technique. The process of floating color in troughs of water and capturing the image by laying the dry sheets onto the surface produces fabulous images that reflect the natural world around us.
